Size chart and measuring guide

Measure the foot and find the row. Every size includes 1.2 cm of growing room.

How to measure

Measure in the afternoon, standing, in socks. Measure both feet and go by the longer one.

By phone

A sheet of A4 is the scale; the phone works out the length. ±3 mm.

Step by step

You’ll need: A sheet of A4 paper · A phone camera · A flat, dark-coloured floor

  1. Put the A4 sheet on the floor with its short edge against the wall.
  2. Have your child stand on the paper with their heel against the wall.
  3. Hold the phone directly above the foot, parallel to the floor, with all four corners of the paper in the frame.
  4. Take the photo. The paper’s known size acts as the scale, and the app works out the foot length.
  5. Repeat for the other foot; we go by the longer one.

Measuring by phone can be out by ±3 mm. If the result falls between two sizes, we recommend the larger one.

Printable template

Print at actual size and put the heel on the line. The most reliable method.

Step by step

You’ll need: A printer (A4, 100% scale) · A pencil

  1. Download the template and print it at “actual size” or “100%”.
  2. Measure the 10 cm check line on the template with a ruler. If it isn’t 10 cm, the scale is wrong; print it again.
  3. Push the template up against the wall, with the heel touching the wall.
  4. Mark the line where the tip of the longest toe lands. The template shows you the size directly.

Printed correctly, this is the most reliable method.

Ruler or tape measure

Heel against the wall, pencil upright. Enter the length in the Size Finder.

Step by step

You’ll need: A sheet of paper · A pencil · Ruler or tape measure

  1. Put the paper on the floor with one edge against the wall.
  2. Have your child stand up, with their heel touching the wall.
  3. Holding the pencil upright, mark the tip of the longest toe. It isn’t always the big toe.
  4. Measure from the wall to the mark, to the nearest millimetre.
  5. Enter the length in the Size Finder.

If the pencil is tilted, the measurement comes out short. Keep it upright.

When the shoes arrive

Leave a little finger’s width (1–1.5 cm) at the toe, and make sure the heel doesn’t slip.

Trying them on at home
  • When the shoes arrive, try them on at home, on a clean floor.
  • With your child standing, there should be roughly a little finger’s width (1–1.5 cm) between the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
  • The heel shouldn’t slip, and the toes should have room to spread.
  • If they don’t fit, put them back in the box; the first exchange is free.

How often?

Feet grow fast; measure again as often as their stage needs.

  • First Steps: about every two months
  • Early Walker: about every three months
  • Explorer: about every four months
