Neve was made for the day a child first steps into snow.

Inside is natural sheepskin, which keeps the foot warm and lets moisture out. The suede is treated to repel water, but it is still not waterproof, and if your child will be out in the snow for a long time, we’d like you to know that. The sole is thick but flexible: unlike most winter boots, it still lets the foot bend.

Warm, and no slipping on the snow. One star off because they aren’t waterproof; they got wet during a long play in the snow. To be fair, the product page says so clearly.

Care

Brush the suede only when it’s dry, with a suede brush, in one direction.
Brush off snow and salt marks once dry; use a suede eraser if needed.
Apply a colourless, water-based protective spray before first wear and once a season.
Don’t turn the sheepskin lining inside out; let the inside air-dry.
