Cavallino is made with a defined 1 cm heel so the foot doesn’t slip in the stirrup during first riding lessons.

It is the only model in our collection with a heel, and we want to say so plainly: it isn’t an everyday shoe, it’s a boot for riding and the stables. The forefoot is still flexible, so your child can walk comfortably once off the pony.

We bought them for riding lessons and they’re comfortable in the stirrup. The leather was a bit stiff for the first few weeks, then softened. They’re expensive, but look like they’ll last two seasons.

Care

Brush off dust with a soft, dry brush; dab marks away with a slightly damp cloth.
If they get wet, stuff them with paper and let them dry at room temperature, away from radiators and direct sun.
Once a month, apply a thin coat of a colourless, natural leather cream.
Do not machine wash. Over time the leather darkens and carries the imprint of your child’s steps; this is natural.
