How to play

  1. For little ones, two people swing a long rope slowly, and the child jumps as the rope touches the ground.
  2. Count along to a rhyme; when someone gets caught, it’s the next player’s turn.
  3. Older children can move on to two ropes (Double Dutch).

Safety

Always play these games with an adult watching, in a way that suits your child’s age and the surface underfoot. Keep games with small pieces (marbles, five stones, mangala) away from children under 3.
