Socks used to slide on our cold marble floor; these don’t. They don’t leave a mark on the ankle.
Gökhan, Arya’s dad (10 months) · Fit: true to size We wondered whether they’d survive a Kars winter. With the sheepskin lining his feet were always warm. We didn’t stay out long in wet snow.
Serkan, Bora’s dad (4 years) · Fit: true to size The felt is very warm and soft. They came up half a size big, which the description did say; they’ll fit once she grows. The name printed on the sole has been really useful at nursery.
Pınar, Asya’s mum (9 months) · Fit: a little big They came up a little big but we didn’t exchange them; they work with thick socks. Delivery took four days, which felt a bit long.
Barış, Doruk’s dad (13 months) · Fit: a little big Warm, and no slipping on the snow. One star off because they aren’t waterproof; they got wet during a long play in the snow. To be fair, the product page says so clearly.
Kaan, Leyla’s dad (20 months) · Fit: true to size Very good in the rain. My son found them a bit heavy compared with trainers and complained for the first few days, then got used to them.
Aslı, Poyraz’s mum (5 years) · Fit: true to size In and out of the mud on forest walks, and a brush got them clean. Setting the laces once and then just using the hook-and-loop makes mornings much easier.
Emre, Rüzgar’s dad (3 years) · Fit: true to size Good quality, and she can put them on herself. My only criticism is the price; for two children it’s a serious budget. The Take Back points will ease things a little next time.
Volkan, Deniz’s dad (3 years) · Fit: true to size We thought laces would make them hard to put on, but with only two eyelets it’s very easy. He took his first steps in the park in these.
Deniz, Aras’s dad (15 months) · Fit: true to size The shoes are good, but we guessed the size without measuring. They were too small, and we waited a week for the exchange because that size was out of stock. Don’t skip measuring.
Murat, Elif’s dad (4 years) · Fit: a little small In the consultation, the physiotherapist asked about his barefoot time before talking about shoes. I wasn’t expecting a call that wasn’t about selling, and it felt good.
Onur, Atlas’s dad (18 months) · Fit: true to size Her knees and the tops of her feet are protected while she crawls, and they stay on. We hand-washed them and they kept their shape.
Zeynep, Mira’s mum (11 months) · Fit: true to size She wore them for her first ballet show. We’re keeping the story card from the First Moments box.
İpek, Ada’s mum (6 years) · Fit: true to size We bought them for riding lessons and they’re comfortable in the stirrup. The leather was a bit stiff for the first few weeks, then softened. They’re expensive, but look like they’ll last two seasons.
Cem, Toprak’s dad (6 years) · Fit: true to size Our Founding Family number is on the sole; I’ll show my daughter when she’s older. We traced her footprint on the lid of the box.
Ebru, Alin’s mum (16 months) · Fit: true to size She wears them all day at school and her feet don’t get sweaty. The hook-and-loop straps are a bit noisy; apparently she opens and closes them in class. We laugh about that too.
Hande, Maya’s mum (5 years) · Fit: true to size We bought these for our son, not a daughter, and he loves his red Mary Janes. They run small, as the page says; we didn’t read the warning and swapped them for a size up. The exchange was no trouble.
Burak, Ali’s dad (3 years) · Fit: a little small We bought them for Bayram, but she wants to wear them every day. The bow is still on, despite all the tugging.
Efe, Mina’s dad (3 years) · Fit: true to size Lovely and light, but we measured in the morning. They tell you to measure in the afternoon, and they were right. We swapped for a size up.
Tolga, Kuzey’s dad (2 years) · Fit: a little small It was her first pair of shoes and they never pinched. The box lives in the toy cupboard now.
Elif, Deniz’s mum (14 months) · Fit: true to size We bought them the week he got his first bike. A month on, the toes still look new; on other shoes the toes wore through straight away.
Nazlı, Ege’s mum (5 years) · Fit: true to size They came up a little big, and the exchange was sorted the next day. The weekly games are lovely too.
Selin, Can’s mum (4 years) · Fit: a little big I bought them as a birthday present for my granddaughter. They wrote her name on the card, and the box has become a little house inside the house.
Sevgi, Ela’s grandma (1 year) · Fit: true to size We bought them for her first pony ride. I liked that the product page explains why there’s a heel; we don’t wear them every day.
Yasemin, Lal’s mum (5 years) · Fit: true to size We used the measuring guide and got the right size first time. You can really tell the quality of the leather.
Mert, Ada’s dad (2 years) · Fit: true to size Her ballet teacher liked them too. Having the elastic already sewn on makes life much easier.
Gizem, Nil’s mum (4 years) · Fit: true to size Ours looked a bit different from the photo; the daisies were bigger. They’d said so beforehand, so it was no surprise, and we actually liked it: nobody else has the same pair.
Ayşe, Defne’s mum (2 years) · Fit: true to size Every morning my daughter points at her shoes and says “my garden”. Three months on, the paint is still there.
Dilara, Eylül’s mum (2 years) · Fit: true to size She wore them on the beach all summer. Thanks to the closed toe, she never hurt her toes on the stones.
Melis, Lina’s mum (3 years) · Fit: true to size He came out of the sea and walked about in wet shoes; they dried in a day. True to size.
Seda, Kerem’s mum (2 years) · Fit: true to size
